Stour needed a confident, visual identity that could stretch across all platforms — including uniforms, business cards and presentations. Alongside the brand work, we tackled a complete overhaul of their existing website, building a sharp, minimal site that puts the user first.

PROBLEM

We were brought in to create a bold but authentic website, packaging and brand to help showcase and sell Tom’s new range of Welsh Mountain Moonshine products. We wanted to keep things simple while giving the products the space to ‘shine’. Each part of the packaging needed to reflect the brand’s Welsh roots for traditional Moonshine.

SOLUTION

We developed two unique brands (Collards Distillery & Shine), which leaned heavily into the traditional home-made feel.

The emblem itself was created from Tom’s grandad, who made the original recipe. His grandad used to have a pair of boxing gloves hanging in the back of the pub. People would come in and challenge him to a fight, and they’d have a match there and then in the bar.

The Welsh mountain sheep, takes on two icons. The Ram’s head, but also (if you look closely) it forms a boxing glove. This little details leads itself to his grandad’s heritage, but also emphasis the ‘PUNCH’ you get from a good strong moonshine. One of our favourite brands to date!
